Tuesday

The boys tennis team (6–1) demolished the Walter Johnson Wildcats (5–3) 6–1 Tuesday.

The Vikes went into the competition with confidence after their wins against the Churchill Bulldogs and Blair Blazers last week. All players dominated their matches, with standout performances from junior Zach Rosen and seniors Evin McDonald and Hugh Markum, who won all of their matches.

Thursday

The boys tennis team (6–1) fell to the undefeated Wootton Patriots (8–0) in a close 4–3 competition Thursday.

Because the Patriots were undefeated in both the preseason and regular season, the Vikes were nervous going into the competition. But regardless, they didn’t hesitate to defend their own undefeated title.

Senior Kevan Nathani dominated his matches and represented for the Vikes. In the end, the Patriots’ depth was too much for the Vikes to overcome.

The Vikes next compete against the B–CC Barons Monday at 3:30 at home.
