Girls tennis annihilates Blair 7–0

By Isabelle van Nieuwkoop

The girls tennis team (2–3) demolished the Blair Blazers 7–0 Thursday, winning all of their matches.

As many starters were sick and injured, the Vikes played alternative matches. Substitutes Isabella deLeo and Sophia Klubes stepped up and represented the Vikes. Because the Blazers didn’t have a doubles 3 team, the third doubles match was defaulted.

Junior Eve Gold dominated her matches, crushing her opponent 6–0 both times in just 45 minutes, and only losing four points throughout her entire match.

Sophomores Sophie Holmes and Molli Hillman, along with juniors Hirari Sato, Min Yeung and senior Brooke McLeod won all of their matches.

The Vikes will take on the Walter Johnson Wildcats Tuesday at 3:30 at home.
