Girls tennis falls to Churchill 3–4

The girls tennis team (1–3) fell to the Churchill Bulldogs 3–4 Tuesday.

Due to multiple starters being sick, the Vikes played alternate matches, which made them nervous going into the competition against a skilled Bulldogs squad.

Junior Eve Gold crushed her opponents after a close first match. Sophomore Isabella DeLeo and doubles Sophie Holmes and Molly Hillman played aggressively against the Bulldogs, winning all their matches. However, the Vikes couldn’t outlast the dominant Bulldogs, and they lost by a small margin.

Despite the loss, the Vikes were able to get a good sense of which pairs worked best together, and they are focused on their upcoming match against the Blair Blazers Thursday at home at 3:30pm.
