Baseball defeats Poolesville, Einstein

Poolesville

The baseball team (2–1) narrowly escaped the Poolesville Falcons (0–2) in a 3–2 victory Thursday.

The Vikes trailed the Falcons 2–1 in the sixth inning, but catcher Jack Ryan hit a double to tie the game, then outfielder Matt Dickstein hit a single to give the Vikes the lead which they would hold for the rest of the game.

 

Einstein

The baseball team (3–1) shut out the Einstein Titans (1–3) in a 12–0 victory Saturday.

Zach Werkman pitched a complete game for the Vikes, and first baseman Tyler DeMartino went three for four at bat with five RBIs and two doubles to lead the Vikes to victory.

The team next faces the Kennedy Cavaliers (1–3) at home Monday at 7:00pm.
