Boys volleyball shuts out Paint Branch 3–0

By Ally Navarrete

The boys volleyball team (2–1) defeated the Paint Branch Panthers (0–3) in straight sets Wednesday.

The Vikes improved their play after a 3–0 loss to Wheaton on Monday. The team held a consistent lead and took advantage of the Panthers’ free balls to increase their scoring opportunities. Outside hitter Greg Shaffer went on an impressive 14 point serving run that contributed to the Vikes’ dominance, and libero Zain Memon led the team defensively.

The Vikes next face the Wootton Patriots Friday at 7 at home.
