On a cold and rainy Thursday night, the boys lacrosse team (0–1) was defeated by the Urbana Hawks (1–0) 13–3 in the team’s first regular season game.

Urbana scored first taking a 1–0 lead two minutes into the game but the Vikes responded with a goal from attacker Dylan Vohra. It was a tied game at the three minute mark in the first quarter when the Hawks scored four unanswered goals, giving Urbana a 5–1 lead heading into the second quarter.

The hawks added two goals in the second quarter, putting the Vikes down 7–1 at the half.

It was the same story in the second half with Urbana scoring six more goals leaving and the Vikes’ defense exhausted.

Vohra added another goal for the Vikes and attacker Lucas Hilsenrath also contributed one goal despite the team falling 13–3.

The team next plays the Quince Orchard Cougars (1–0) Monday 7:15 pm at Quince Orchard High School.
