Girls lacrosse

The girls lacrosse team (8–2) lost a nailbiter to the Urbana Hawks 7–6 on Saturday, which snapped the Vikes’ seven game winning streak.

The game was a defensive battle, as the squad was held to their second lowest goal output of the season. The loss will not affect the Vikes for playoff seeding, however, as Urbana was not a division opponent; division record is the sole factor. With two games to go, the squad is in control of the one seed for the playoffs, holding a 1.5 game lead over Churchill for the top spot and home field advantage.

The Vikes next play Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. away against the Blair Blazers.

Softball

The softball team (1–9) fell to the Quince Orchard Cougars 12–1 on Saturday.

The Vikes had difficulty finding their rhythm on offense again, as the Cougars controlled the game.

The team’s next game is Monday at the Blake Bengals at 7:00 p.m.

Boys lacrosse

The boys lacrosse team beat the Urbana Hawks 7–6 on Saturday. Full story to come.

Baseball

The baseball team lost to the Quince Orchard Cougars 7–6 on Saturday. Full story to come.
