The boys lacrosse team (4–4) returned to an even record Thursday after crushing the B-CC Barons 13–2. This was the Vikes’ highest margin of victory this season.

The team bounced back after a heartbreaking 8–7 loss against WJ. According to forward captain Sergei Galego, the squad took steps back so they could focus on the basics.

“Ball movement and fundamentals such as passing and catching is what gave us such a great win,” Galego said. “This win gives us momentum so we can push hard into the playoffs.”

This marked the Vikings’ highest score so far this season, as well as the lowest score they’ve held an opponent to.

There are only four games left before the playoffs, but the team believes there is still room for improvement.

“Focus has been our weak point,” Galego said. “If we’re keen, we have a solid chance of going all the way this year.”

The Vikes play QO next at home Monday at 7:15.
