Famed musician Prince Rogers Nelson, well known as Prince, died this past Thursday (1958-2016). The cause for his death is still unknown.

Celebrated for his wild on-stage acts and creative lyricism, he will always be remembered as a huge influence on the music industry, and his performance at the 2007 Super Bowl XLI is often praised as the best halftime performance of all time.

“I became a fan of Prince in the 1980’s, and his Purple Rain tour was the first concert I ever attended,” AP Psychology teacher Marisa Del Savio said. “I admired Prince as he embraced the ambiguities of life. He showed vulnerability while demonstrating strength, and he displayed integrity while challenging standards of morality.”
