The Vikings raced out to a 22-7 lead in the first quarter and didn’t look back. After leading 32-12 at halftime, the Vikes rested many starters in the second half as they cruised to 1-0 in divisional play.

Ever since their sloppy loss to Landon, the Vikings have refocused, outscoring their opponents by nearly 14 points over the last three games.

“Landon was a minor setback for a major comeback,” guard Baldwin Fomum-Mugri said. “We still have a lot of work to do in order to get where we want to be but these three wins were definitely steps in the right direction.”

Forward Shaq Diboti-Lobe and center Anton Casey led the team with four assists apiece, scoring 12 and 10 points respectively.

Center Owen Caverly scored a career-high seven points coming off the bench.

The Vikes will look to keep rolling when they take on Frederick County opponent Tuscarora (4-1) this Friday.
