The Swim and Dive team continued its path of domination against the B-CC Barons last saturday, Jan. 18. The boys dominated the opposition, 120-49, boosting their record to 6-0 while the girls performed exceptionally well with a win of 104-67, which hoists their record to 5-1.
The Vikes were on point throughout the entire meet, with victories across the board. The Boys 200 meter relay was led by Kyle Campbell, Kevin Johnson, Alex Vissering and Ethan Taswell clinching a time of 1:45.71.
“The meet went really well and it was good to swim against a rival team, especially considering the fact we didn’t get to face them last year,” senior backstroker Kyle Campbell said. “We had a lot of the best times and everyone on deck was extremely loud and spirited, it was definitely our best meet of the season so far.”
The Vikes will look for a win against the Walter Johnson Wildcats this Saturday at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center. If a win is managed, the Vikings have a shot at being upped from Division II to Division I next saturday at Divisionals.
