Field hockey

The field hockey team (3–1) beat the Sherwood Warriors 2–1 for their second straight win behind their stout defense.

The Vikes defense controlled the game as usual, surrendering only the one goal to the Warriors, while Clare Hisle and Zara Memon continued to lead the Viking attack.

The squad looks to continue their winning streak Monday at Walter Johnson.

Football

The football team (2–1) triumphed over the Einstein Titans (1–2) Friday, as the Vikings’ offense scored four touchdowns in the 29–23 victory.

Both the rushing and aerial attack were featured prominently in Friday’s game plan and the offense accumulated 307 yards. The Vikes’ defense also played a large part in the victory by holding the Titans to 3 points in the first half of the contest.

The Vikings conclude their homestand against Northwest Friday.

Girls tennis

The girls tennis team beat the Richard Montgomery rockets with a strong 6–1 finish.

The vikings had a great showing with many strong matches, headlined by first singles player Carina Greenberg overtaking her opponent 6–3, 7–5.

Next, the squad takes on the Wootton Patriots Tuesday at home.
