Why did you join the Black & White?
I originally took Intro to Journalism (the prerequisite class for being on the newspaper) because I loved writing, but wanted to improve my ability to be concise and work on a deadline. I joined the Black & White because journalistic writing very quickly became a passion.
Why are you well suited to write/edit for your section or to perform your job?
I wrote extensively for the newspaper as a news writer last year, and completed a program at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism over the summer. Both experiences have pushed me to consider a career in journalism, something I hope my role in leadership here on staff will propel me towards.
