Co-ed volleyball falls to Poolesville 3–1 in season opener

By Ally Navarrete

The co-ed volleyball team (0–1) fell to the Poolesville Falcons (1–0) in their season opener Thursday.

The Falcons played with a strong offense that the Vikes struggled to defend for most of the game. The Falcons won the first two sets, but the Vikes came back to win the third. In the fourth set, the Falcons regained their original momentum and closed out the match.

Middle hitter Bert Tillet had an impressive performance in his first game on the team, and middle back Tori Sullivan also contributed a solid performance to help the Vikes.

The team next faces the Wheaton Knights Monday at 3:45 at Wheaton High School.
