Softball suffers 5–1 loss to Damascus

By Julia Forlini

The softball team (6–10) fell to the Damascus Hornets (13–3) in a tough 5–1 loss Monday.

The Vikes took charge early on the defensive end, but their defense couldn’t offset their struggles at the plate. The Hornets took over in later innings, capitalizing on their opportunities at bat and scoring five consecutive runs.

The team plays the Walter Johnson Wildcats at home Thursday at 5:15 in the first round of the playoffs.
