Varsity girls basketball lost 41-37 to the undefeated Seneca Valley Screaming Eagles, Feb 23, ending the regular season at 17-4.
The game started out with the Screaming Eagles taking a clear lead, going up at half time 26-11. The Vikes came back though in the second half, scoring 26 points to the Screaming Eagles’ 15. But, the comeback was not enough to make up for the slow start and the game ended at a close 41-37.
Seneca Valley was lead by Kelsey Wolfe who scored a game high 16 points.
The Vikings start their playoff season this Monday, March 1, hosting at Walter Johnson because of the ongoing repairs to Whitman’s gym floor.
