Varsity boys basketball lost to number two seeded Wooton Patriots 59-37, Jan 27, falling to 10-5.
With senior starters Eddie Wytkind and Sam Walsh out sick, the boys were placed at an immediate disadvantage. The Patriots dominated the first half, which ended in their favor, 33-22. After being the top scorer at the Walter Johnson game on Monday, forward Daniel Voigt scored the first basket of the half. The Vikes however, could not quite come back and the third quarter ended with a score of 43-29.
The boys play B-CC at home on Friday. After an eventful game earlier this month that ended with an attack on Whitman students, the school plans to have increased security at the event.
