Varsity girls soccer kicked off their season with a 1-0 win against the Sherwood Warriors on Sept 9.

Forward Kat Barth broke through the defense for the games only goal in the 23rd minute of the second half.

With starting goalie Hannah Sasscer still out with mono and a brain cyst, backup Clara Kelly provided key saves for the Vikes throughout the game.

Kelly received assistance from the Lady Vikings defense as they stood strong and cleared all counters heading towards their net.

The Lady Vikes went to Sherwood unsure about their lineup after injuries sidelined several key starters, however they battled through and won a key game to start the season.

They look to continue their winning streak with games against Clarksburg and Wootton this week.
