Varsity boys basketball defeated the Bullis Bulldogs 55-52 in a close game, Dec 11, bringing their record to 2-1. The season’s top scorer, Charlie Waugh, led the team once again, due to a number breakaways. Seniors Eddie Wytkind and Sam Walsh played tight defense, keeping the Bulldogs on their toes.
“We moved the ball well and had really good defense,” Wytkind said. “We hit a lot of shots at the end of the game.”
The public versus private school matchup is always a tough one; however, the Vikes stayed poised, scoring under pressure. With a tied score entering the fourth quarter, Waugh came through tp help seal the victory for the Vikes.
“It was a big game for us,” Walsh says. “Charlie stepped it up, making some clutch baskets.”
