English guitar legend Peter Frampton performed his album “Frampton Comes Alive,” one of the bestselling live albums of all time, Feb. 19 to a packed Warner Theater in D.C.
Drummer Dan Wojciechowski, who previously played with The Backstreet Boys, and bassist Stanley Sheldon, who played on the original record, also joined Frampton to perform every song just as it was originally recorded.
The three-hour show started with Frampton ripping through some of his classic hits, including “Show Me The Way” and “It’s A Plain Shame,” using the same Gibson Les Paul the album was recorded with back in 1976.
Frampton then turned his attention to his newer material, relying heavily on tracks from his latest album “Thank You Mr. Churchill” and tracks from his Grammy-winning “Fingerprints.”
Although it was a treat to see Frampton performing his biggest seller, the show was a bit too long and would’ve been more enjoyable if Frampton just stuck to his original promise of playing his biggest album from front to back. But overall, Frampton proved that even a 61-year-old can rock just as hard as he did in his mid-20s.

I was fortunate enough to attend the sold out Clearwater show. The FCA set was amazing and fun to experience. The 2nd set was even better…it was a brilliant expression of musical talent mixed with world view, nostalgia, and good rock n roll! Best show I have ever been to.

Hunter thanks for mentioning the show. To correct you, the FCA35 Tour has always been announced as FCA plus other material from my career. I never actually promised just to play FCA back to back. I promised that and much more. If you are only a fan of, “… Comes Alive!”, then maybe it’s not the show for you.
